WHAT:
OFF BROADWAY MEXICAN FIESTA - BENEFIT CABARET
WHEN: April 17th at 7:00 pm
FOOD: This night is sure to be muy bueno as we start off the evening with margaritas and Mexican food from "On the Border."
LIVE ENTERTAINMENT: Some of Atlanta's best actors, singers and dancers will hit the Off Broadway stage. There may even be a few surprises along the way!
SILENT AUCTION: There will also be a Silent Auction with items including hand-beaded jewelry, custom handbags, a summer camp at the Goddard School, and gift cards to the Punch Line comedy club.

Congratulations to The Off Broadway Kids Musical Theatre Troupe for their near perfect performance at the "National Performing Arts Festival" in Orlando. The Kids received a 99/100 and a 98/100 from the judges (based on the tougher national level of scoring) which just thrilled us to no end!!
The Kids also won the Judges' Showcase Award enabling them to perform their 20-minute competition piece on a Disney stage in front of a crowd of hundreds of screaming "fans!" They were even asked to pose for photos and sign an autograph or two! WOW!
Special congrats to Barrett Crowder (as Horton), Alex Sherwin (as The Cat in the Hat), Ali Holliday (as Mayzie La Bird) and Owen Smith (as the Sour Kangaroo) for winning individual awards for "Outstanding Performance by an Actor/Actress." Eight such awards were given out and our OBD Kids received 4 of them!
The OBD Kids had a wonderful time on the trip, made some great new friends and are already looking forward to next year!

 Off Broadway is excited to announce that actor Josh Rhett Noble will be joining OBD this summer as instructor of our Broadway Intensive summer camp.
Best known for his critically-acclaimed portrayal of "Gaston" in Disney’s Beauty & the Beast in theatres across the country, Josh is a veteran of many professional productions including: Altar Boyz (Matthew/Cleveland & Atlanta regional premieres), Company (Bobby), Forever Plaid (Sparky), Camelot (Lancelot), Godspell (Judas), The Pajama Game (Sid), Guys & Dolls (Sky), The Music Man (Harold), Grease (Kenickie) and Lend Me A Tenor (Max). Josh most recently performed with Tony nominee and American Idol alum Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages), Tony winners Alice Ripley (Next to Normal) and Christian Hoff (Jersey Boys) and Tony nominee J. Robert Spencer (Next to Normal) in the ROCKERS ON BROADWAY benefit concert to aid the children of Haiti.

RHYTHM TAP
Hey Advanced Tappers!! We are excited to offer a new Rhythm Tap class. This is a hard core tap technique class taught by our newest instructor, Jen MacQueen.
 Jen performs, choreographs, and teaches all over the United States. Taught by many of the great masters, she has workshopped new tap pieces for, shared the bill with, and performed alongside many well-known tappers such as Savion Glover, Brenda Bufalino, Gregory Hines, and Harold Nicholas (of the Nicholas Brothers)... plus many others.
Jen now shares her skills and her love of tap with the students at Off Broadway Dance Theatre. Her Rhythm Tap class will be held on Thursdays from 7 pm - 8 pm.
ADVANCED BROADWAY JAZZ
We also are excited to offer an Advanced Broadway Jazz class on Thursdays from 8 pm-9 pm. This is only for students ages 13 and up who have had at least 3 years of previous training in Jazz. The class focuses on choreographers' specific styles versus jazz technique.
